Here's my list of who could be responsible for the Nothing from the Never-ending Story to be re created as a glitchy computer virus. I'll also go over the motives such as revenge and or dark rebirth of creation.

Before we start maybe we should figure out how the WB multiverse functions, according to Space Jam a new legacy, the whole WB multiverse appears to function on the cyber-verse as a universe on a planet like our Earth and the cyber-verse might branch out into other universes like branches of a tree or rivers and streams as quantum scientist suspect of our universe/multiverse.

If we remember the Russian nesting egg doll, the WB multiverse or Pan universe might work the same but instead of 1 doll in another, we can find a whole new nest of planets, solar systems, galaxies and possible various timelines and universes in each one we might journey to and some of those realms could cross with another or merge into a single timeline/universe

Take the DC multiverse as a example

As we've seen for decades, these universes are able to merge, crossover, diverge, similar to continental drift in our world. I suspect that these realms could behave the same as countries on continents, where people could travel between only much more costly energy wise and more dangerous.

In the DC multiverse we have universes like the mortal kombatverse either invading and merging through hostile genocides or as Hellboy and the Teenage mutant ninja turtles have shown in Smite and Brawlhalla video games, characters could simply crossover and interact with creatures and people of the native realms and some universes like the looney tunes or Cartoon Networkverse would do trade with them economically and culturally, just as nations in our world would do.

Just as some countries and lost tribes don't know about the larger world, some if not many worlds in this metaverse, are not aware of this truth and may not know about it until the afterlife, which may explain the motive of some of our suspects.

Here are some other theories about this metaverse I propose

1. That these realms( WB multiverse, Paramount/Nicktoons/Dreamworks), etc have always existed even before the birth of humanity and will continue to exist even after the end of mankind

2. These realms only exist because of the stories we humans have come up with.

3. This is a combination of the 1st 2 theories, but these realities already existed but as more realistic, darker and more adult aimed and only became more child friendly over the centuries and this metaverse became more complex and larger over the last few decades, because of the internet.

Suspect 1. King Ghidorah(s)

From what the Godzilla fanbase can tell is that Ghidorah in most if not all his incarnations have wanted to take over and terraform if not destroy planet earth, why earth not many are certain, but what can be agreed is that in Godzilla vs Kong, he as a soul took over Mechagodzilla to take revenge against Kong and Godzilla, if not for Madison's boyfriend's brilliant idea of pouring alcohol onto the computer controlling the robot, then Ghidorah's reign of evil may have been restarted and made worse.

With the Monsterverse existing in Space Jam 2 WB cyberverse( WB Pan-Multiverse), after he died again, he might have became some sort of computer virus seeking revenge on humanities children, by destruction of children stories and genocide in the Cyberverse which might lead to psychological trauma to children in our world. After all, in a way teens and children are the main human heroes of the last 2 monsterverse films, Madison distracting Ghidorah long enough for Godzilla to return, she and her boyfriend and their mentor friend infiltrating Apex cybernetics, discovering the insane conspiracy and sabotaging the computer, and Little Jia, well she's basically Kong's brave heroic cheerleader of a baby sister to him, who's technically in his late teens to early 20s, since for his species a decade for us,is the same as a year for him, and with Kong probably 140(14 in his years) in the 70s.

With the toho multiverse entwined with the main WB Pan-multiverse, so is the other versions of Ghidorah, such as the planet eater from the 1st Godzilla anime, which means that version might have fused with the monsterverse version to create this glitching darkness, which may explain it going after kid friendly worlds, and the creatures the darkness has enslaved as zombies.
